Classy Joe Canning stands side by side Keady family as Galway lift Cup before making young fans' day
Ger Keville ·
Joe Canning stood side by side the late Tony Keady's wife Margaret and daughter Shannon as David Burke delivered a passionate victory speech following Galway's All Ireland win over Waterford.
Canning hit nine points - two from play - and is surely a serious contender to pick up the man-of-the-match award when it's announced tonight on the Sunday Game.
The Portumna man was universally praised online for not only his quality display during the 70 minutes, but also for his class during the presentation when he stood side by side the Keadys.
And while the rest of his team-mates celebrated in the dressing room, Canning was busy posing for photographs and made two young fans' day when he posed with them in the tunnel.

After the game, RTE pundit Henry Shefflin paid a glowing tribute to Canning.
"I had the privilege of going down for his debut in 2008, he scored 2-14 against Cork. He was only 19 years of age and we said he was going to win a load of All Irelands. He is a special player, a special talent and he's got some knocks over the years but I am absolutely delighted for him today and for his family.
"Great players deserve to win an All Ireland. It would be great if everyone got to feel this occasion and how they are feeling at this moment in time. I think it's brilliant for Galway."
