Returning to Galway armed with the Liam MacCarthy Cup proved too much for Micheál Donoghue as he shed tears while embracing his father in a poignant moment today.
Croke Park was a sea of emotion on Sunday following Galway's All Ireland final victory over Waterford.

David Burke gave a victory speech for the ages as he paid tribute to Tony Keady while the Galway legend's family looked on from the Croke Park pitch.
Burke then had to pause for moment when he spoke passionately about former team-mate Niall Donoghue who passed away in 2014.
And that raw, powerful emotion carried through today when the Galway heroes returned home.
Donoghue, understandably, struggled to put a coherent sentence together when he was interviewed on RTE shortly after a quite beautiful moment with his father as the pair embraced and shed tears of joy together.
It was a moment that epitomised everything that is great about the GAA.
"That's what everything is about isn't it?" said Donoghue.
"It’s an unbelievable feeling just bringing it back to Galway. Family is everything and on these days it’s great to be with your family and even when they are not with you in Croke Park yesterday..it’s just brilliant to bring it back."
